Weight Loss Medication Program Phentermine is an FDA approved prescription medication that works by stimulating the hypothalamus gland and affecting certain neurotransmitters to decrease appetite. Taking this medication, in conjunction with healthy eating and exercise will help you achieve your weight loss goals. This program includes a 90 day diet program, monthly prescriptions and weekly follow-ups with our nurse practitioner. In addition, our patients will receive weekly B12 and MIC injections that helps with energy levels and aide in the weight loss process.

HCG Weight Loss Program - HCG , or Human Chorionic Gonadotropin, is a protein prescribed as part of a physician supervised program also involving a strict diet protocol with specific amounts of calories and nutrition. The HCG diet results in weight loss, and ideally fat loss rather than lean body mass as is the case in many strict diets. The hCG Diet Program requires a strict lower calorie intake for up to 23-40 days. Patients lose up to a half pound to a pound per day. By decreasing calories your metabolism tends to slow and you would typically burn muscle rather than fat.

* HCG is not approved by the FDA. It is the responsibility of our physicians and practitioners to supervise, advise, guide and control patients health before, during and after treatment. The medical professionals should be able to establish which patients are good candidates for treatment with hCG and together with their patient set realistic expectations that will allow for a successful process.

According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS): The cosmetic form of botulinum toxin, often referred to by its product name Botox®, is a popular non-surgical injection that temporarily reduces or eliminates frown lines, forehead creases, crows feet near the eyes and thick bands in the neck. The toxin blocks the nerve inpulses, temporarily paralyzing the muscles that cause wrinkles while giving the skin a smoother, more refreshed appearance. This is a medical procedure and should be completed in a surgical center environment.

Dermal Fillers (i.e. Restylane®, Juvederm®, Perlane®)

According to ASAPS, Hyaluronic acid is a natural polysaccharide, which in appropriate form is a versatile soft tissue filler. Hyaluronic acid is being widely used for the management of wrinkles, fine lines, contour deformities, and volumetric deficiencies of face, cheeks, and lips associated with aging, developmental anomalies, and certain diseases. Restylane/Hylaform does not represent the final answer in the search for an ideal tissue filler but provides a predictable, safe, user-friendly approach.

The results can last up to six months. It is especially effective for the nasolabial folds, lip augmentation, and areas of contour deformities. It is also an ideal adjunct for Botox® treatment and is frequently used in conjuction with Botox® to correct lines and creases that persist.

Chemical Peels

Chemical peels use salicylic acid and/or glycolic acids to remove dead skin cells, improve skin texture, fine lines and overall appearance of the skin. These treatments can be particularly helpful for severe or moderate acne, facial blemishes, wrinkles and uneven skin pigmentation. Each patient will have a different formula, depending on the condition of their skin.

The ASPS defines Microdermabrasion as a skin-freshening technique that helps repair facial skin that's been worn down over time from the sun and the effects of aging. This device is like a fine sandblaster to spray tiny crystals across the face, mixing gentle abrasion with suction to remove the dead, outer layer of skin. As with other skin rejuvenation techniques, more than one treatment may be needed to reduce or remove fine wrinkles and unwanted pigmentation. There are usually two versions of microdermabrasion, one for aestheticians, and a more powerful version for physicians.

DermaFrac™ is an effective combination of four therapies designed to improve fine lines, wrinkles, acne, acne scars, brown spots, enlarged pores, dry skin, and uneven pigmentation. DermaFrac™ is more effective than fractional laser treatments and offers the added benefit of active infusion of topical solutions without anesthesia and at a significantly lower cost. Treatments are customized to your unique skin, and involve the following:

1. Microdermabrasion to remove the coarse, flaky outer layer of dead skin cells and leave your skin smooth and polished.

2. Micro-channeling, a form of Collagen Induction Therapy that regenerates the surface texture and tone of your skin. Micro-channeling painlessly creates thousands of tiny channels in your skin that extend below the epidermis. The body responds to this controlled process by producing more collagen and elastin, thereby reducing the appearance of fine lines, scars, stretch marks and wrinkles. The micro-channels create pathways for placing the infusion serums at the most beneficial depth for the natural rejuvenating process. The serum infusions are specifically tailored for one of four treatments:

Anti-Aging: A infusion of five peptides specifically designed to create new collagen and reduce fine lines and wrinkles.

Hydration: Infusing hyaluronic acid into the skin to produce immediate, long lasting, "super" hydration of the skin.

Lightening: Kojic Acid: a proven skin lightener with no toxic issues, gently evens out the pigments in the skin.

Acne: Lactic and salicylic acids exfoliate the skin, open clogged pores, kill acne bacteria, and increase collagen production.

3. LED (Light Emitting Diode) Therapy - This is the final step of the four step process and uses red frequencies to reduce inflammation, yellow frequencies for additional collagen stimulation, or blue frequencies to reduce acne breakouts.

With DermaFrac™, it is now possible to deliver high-grade active ingredients to the dermal layer like never before - and get better results. DermaFrac™ can infuse anti-aging peptides, skin lighteners, hyaluronic acid moisturizers, acne treatments and more.

How does DermaFrac™ exactly work?

The precision-controlled hand piece pulls the skin under vacuum into contact with hundreds of micro-needles that painlessly penetrate through the epidermis and into the upper dermis(the papillary layer). DermaFrac™ micro-channels create pathways for introducing the infusion solution into the area of the skin that is most beneficial to the natural rejuvenating process. The depth of the needles on the DermaFrac™ hand piece has been carefully selected so that the channels are created just below the dermal-epidermal junction and just above capillaries and nerve endings. This ensures no bleeding or pain. Plus the specially formulated viscosity and molecular size of DermaFrac™'s topical solutions help to further maximize the skin rejuvenation process.

What are the benefits of DermaFrac™?

  • Reduces wrinkles, fine lines, acne, acne scars, stretch marks, uneven pigmentation, brown spots, sun damage, other scars and large pores.
  • Provides noticeable improvement within a few days of the initial treatment and significant improvement after a series of six treatments.
  • Treatments are very cost effective.
  • Extremely high absorption rates of the topical serums.
  • Safe for all skin types and skin colors.
  • What results can you expect?

Most people will begin to see improvement the day after their first treatment. However, a series of six treatments is required to maximize and retain those benefits. By the end of the series of treatments, you will see fuller, smoother skin with more even skin tone. Acne scars or other depressed scars will be less noticeable because of the new collagen created immediately below the scars. If raised scars were treated, the amount of scar tissue should be reduced.

Six treatments at 2-4 week intervals are required to create the cumulative benefits of new collagen and elastin below the skin and new skin regenerated by repairing the micro-channels.
